ARISE Technologies Acquires Prometheus Energy of Toronto Prometheus becomes distribution division for ARISE Technologies KITCHENER, Ontario – January 18, 2002: ARISE Technologies Corporation ("ARISE") of Kitchener, Ontario is pleased to announce the acquisition of the solar energy distribution business of Prometheus Energy of Toronto, Ontario. Prometheus Energy is Canada's oldest supplier of solar and other renewable energy products, being in operation since 1979. Prometheus and its founder Rob McMonagle have made many contributions towards the advancement of the Canadian solar industry since its inception. Rob McMonagle has accepted a consulting role with ARISE. Prometheus Energy will become the distribution division of ARISE, proud to be a leading distributor for Kyocera Solar, Uni-Solar photovoltaics (PV) and Xantrex inverters. Prometheus customers will have full access to Kyocera’s extensive catalogue of renewable energy products such as PV solar panels, power conversion products, batteries, charge controllers, wind power and much more.
